I am having trouble figuring out how to create and animate animals. So for I am successful at creating a pig. The character looks real good, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to animate it. I also like to try to create other animals too like a rhino. If anyone know how please let me know.

Hi DrewL.
I've just realised there are probly better tutorials out there. I just googled 'animating a 4 legged walk cycle' and pasted you those links. After having a closer look at them, you could probly find some better ones. Have been looking for the tutorial that really helped me with 4 legged walk, but cant find it. It used a orange horse, and was good and easy to understand.
If you're having a search yourself, keep an eye open for the orange horse...(http://s6.postimg.org/p4cqdev8d/grysmile.gif)
EDIT: Was looking through some discs and found the orange horse tut
EDIT: Link dead-deleted. Sorry
(the link is only to part 2, but the video can be downloaded from there.) Its in lightwave, but good for any 3d program. The vid is quite fast, but by pausing here and there you can work out what he's actually doing, what frame he is on etc...
Good luck DrewL.

The information sound real good. I will read the article as carefully as possible. Thanks again for helping me.

Went to check it out but it seems the video links are dead.
-
Yes links are dead as a dodo!....still google is your friend, just do a search for Quadraped Walk cycles..
-
Not to be nit-picky, but you'll get more (or at least better) hits if you use the proper spelling, "quadruped."

check out this as well https://www.google.com.au/search?q=muybridge+horse&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=vu3hUpigL4WllAWS84DYDg&ved=0CCYQsAQ&biw=1366&bih=622

Hey, i found the video and uploaded it to DataFileHost. :)
You should be able to download it from here
EDIT: Apparently the site i have used to host this video has malware issues. (see post below).
I've looked on line for the original video, 'Quad walk cycle in minutes, by proton', but it appears to not be around anymore.
If anyone finds it, or has share-able access to it, a link would be much appreciated. Its an excellent tutorial.
Meanwhile, although the video is at the link below, you would be downloading at your own risk, and will need to be willing to 'battle any malware issues to get it'.
( I'll try to find another host, but may need to wait till next internet data topup before i can upload it again)

Problem Johnar, the file sharing site you have used keeps trying to post malware to my computer, had to abort the download, Just thought you should know! Needed to uncheck the the download manager first.
I hate file sharing sites like these

Darnit!!!
Ok.I'll try another host.
Have searched for the original video 'Quad walk cycle in minutes, by proton', online, but no luck.
Spose i had better delete that link if its going to upset peoples pcs.
Thats a real shame, as it is an excellent tutorial for 4 legged walk cycles.
Will post a new link when i can get one, but it may be a little while....
Thanks for the heads up on the malware kreator.
