Title: Adding Bones?
Post by: Blick Fang on October 03, 2012, 10:21:27 am
Hi

I found a neat low poly person I want to add bones to.  I searched the forum and did not see anything recent.  Does anyone know of such a tute?

Thanks!

No problem, its just an intro I originally did for rellick, and problems with skinning, I hope your model is`nt one of those tri-angulated 3ds models!!  They can be a pain to weight paint!

Just wondering- what is it that makes a triangulated model harder to weight paint than one still constructed in primitive form? Why does triangulation even exist?

I believe it is required for boolean operations. Also renderers require models to be made only of triangles because they are always coplanar.

Oooooh, I get it!! I can see why incoplanarity would be a problem for renderers. Thanks for the answer!
