Title: Okay... So I need a little help...
Post by: Aarangend on March 25, 2008, 11:35:54 pm
So, I found this program called makehuman, and I made a human.  Then imported it to anim8or as an object.  But he would come up with the default color.  So I tried to add a texture to a color, but the texture that came with that model didn't work, it told me it had to be a picture file.  So I went to paint and tried to load that file but it wouldn't let me.  Can someone tell me how to load textures from a makehuman file?

Well i am not sure about that. But I know how to load textures in Anim8or. Click on your material and there should be a box called "material" click it and you can load pictures onto your work model etc... But I don't uinderstand why you cannot load texture to a colour. You used paint you say... I don't know but a member called "Hihosilver" might know. He is a senior member and he is good at Anim8or. He might know. Sorry.

Makehuman uses .obj files with a .mtl materials file.  You need the 0.96 version of Anim8or to view the materials.  Hope this helps

When you save an object in .obj format in Anim8or .mtl files are created for you.

Also, I believe, in version .96 or later only.
