So my friend plays the game, IMVU and wanted a special tail. I made a mesh of it for her and was wondering if there's a file type I can export it as that will be compatable with the game so they can use it.

Search, search, search ;)
After wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMVU#Content_creation_program :
'IMVU uses its own proprietary Cal3D format consisted of .xcf (eXperimental Computing Facility) subformats. 3D Max7 is the most used Meshing program for IMVU products however, Sketchup and Blender are used by many developers as well.'
It looks like the only way to go is to export *.obj or other format using Ani2pov (if you need animation), and then import file in one of these programs and follow tutorials at:

So answer is not that easy as it seems at first.

Ok, I don't play IMVU myself, so the plan was to export it as a good file type, then send it to my friend who will send it to someone who can make it usable. thanks. .obj was my guess, so I'll go do that now
