Title: Art and mesh clipping
Post by: xalener on March 21, 2008, 12:44:19 am
I've noticed that when rendering with art, if there's a face cutting through and behind another, I can still see it. The "texture" dissapears, but the mesh can still be seen through a face if it's "impaling" it. I'm a complete noob, and R retarted at this subject, but an educated guess would tell me that rays aren't recieved from back faces, but they do from the front, no matter what it's behind.......?
Has anyone else notice this?

......lol.
Can anyone understand this? looking back, my wording is fugly.

Can you e-mail me the project or a simpler example if you have one?  I don't need the textures or anything.

Got a better example......

The top one is rendered with ART, the bottom one is rendered with scanline.
