I've been using Anim8or for a year and a half on PC, though probably at a pretty basic level compared to most of you, and am now trying to install it on a Mac (only a G4, but fairly updated with OS 10.4)
I don't even know whether Anim8or runs on Mac? And I'm not turning up hits searching the forum under "Mac", though I'm also not very experienced at using the forum. What I do have is a deadline approaching and would so very much appreciate any words of wisdom. If I have to keep using the PC, I can, though my new Mac station is more comfortable javascript:void(0);
I go to run the .exe file and it says
Unable to determine file format:
The file "/Users/xoxo/Desktop/Anim8or.1.exe" does not appear to be compressed or encoded. It is advised that you obtain further information about the contents of this file from the sender or provider of the file.
I'm trying to uncompress it with Stuffit 12.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for whomever has a few minutes to help me!

From the System Requirements at http://www.anim8or.com/main/index.html (http://www.anim8or.com/main/index.html) it does not seem to be made for the Mac.

Anim8or does not run on mac. You could still get something like parallels (http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/) to try to run anim8or on a mac.

Unfortunately Anim8or will not run on a mac as they have different encoding of .exe files. Unless Steve, Anim8or creator, re-encodes the software to the Mac program structure then it will not work on a Mac. However I believe that it should run on a Mac if it has an Intel processor.
You may be able to find an emulator or what hihosilver suggested to run it as a virtual program.
Hope that it has been of some use.
