Title: Robots in 3D
Post by: daniel99 on March 26, 2011, 05:04:06 pm
Hey. Sorry for the absence. The last month was very full. I had lots of work at my job, many promos. I'm happy it's over and I hope I made a nice job.

Looks really nice daniel. I'm not familiar with the series but I like the characters. You did an good job on the focal blur, it gives a nice focus. The background picture could use some work maybe. It still looks pretty flat. Maybe you could use multiple planes with textures and place them at different angles/position, this will give more depth to it.

Wow! thats awesome. I love the atmospheric effect with the smoke. The textures and animation look superb. I do agree with floyd that the background could use a little bit of depth, but with the focal blur its not too noticeable. My only question is was it rendered with anim8or? and if so, how long did it take?

Really good! I've heard of the series either, but it looks cool, as well as your 3D animation. :)

These guys look great! I viewed a few of the original 2D ones that game up as well. What language is that? Romanian?  Anyway, you could easily re-create their background in place of the photo backdrop you used. That done, submit your work to the makers of the series with a mock-up of one of their clips. You might get a job!

EDIT:  heh, I forgot... you already have a production site, etc....

Thanks, Arik.
Codin, the creator of the robots alreally seen the video.
Yea, i do have a job and a colaboration.
There was no need for a 3d bg, since the focus is on the characters, and there is not to much camera movement.

Just curious, daniel... was rendering of the animation clips long and slow?

I rendered the character in about 2 or 3 minutes. So I could say fast  :)

That is pretty good. I like the animation and the texturing. Everything just fits.
