Hello, just had a few emails saying some threads had been deleted, including Lynn's car wip?
Everything okay with the forum?
Tell me to mind my own business if you like..... wouldn't be the first time :o

Hm, that is a bit worrying. Only the author of the topic or a moderator/administrator can delete topics. The only such one that's been active in the last couple of days was me and floyd86.
Rarely do we delete topics. Spam gets sent to the moderators board for Steve to pick up and ban members. Other offending topics usually get locked so that we can issue a final message about whatever it was about.
I deleted the hallway challenge poll topics today, which was one of the rare occasions. So unless another moderator did it then it's possibly a bug with the moderator tools. I'll PM floyd86 to get his attention on the matter.

Why am I not surprised for I did not delete my own post.
Floyd has been on the board since the last post and presumably has read the message that Raxx left for him; so, what gives ?

As far we we know, Floyd86 did not intentionally nor consciously delete your topic. I can only assume that his account was accessed on a public terminal or something like that.
I apologize, I wish I could do more but I'm only a moderator.

There is nothing you need to aplogize for, you did not delete the post.
On the other hand, for as vocal as floyd86 was at the beginning of being a moderator why does he not speak up for himself ?
It's the least he could do, if only out of common courtesy.
With more than 10 years experience in hand coding web sites, I strongly advise floyd86 to better secure his account or tomorrow this whole board could be "accidentally" wiped out.
Again I would like to thank everybody who posted a comment on the WIP a car thread for taking the time and putting in the effort to write it, all of which is now equally lost.
If you want to continue to follow the progress of building the 2 CV then you can find it on my own board (http://www.3d-anim8.com/detail.asp?iData=21&iCat=3) where it will not disappear. ;D
Also thanks goes to headwax for starting this thread.
Finally, I will now bow out of this forum, I had a great time here and got to know some lovely people but I will not be bullied by a kid whose attitude is bigger than his size.

Hm, well it was only speculation on my end regarding the public terminal issue. It goes without saying that it could just be a simple accident.
I'm unaware of any bullying, if anything occurred behind the scenes then I hope you and any other party could come to a truce and remain on board. Since our only admin is absent right now, the solutions to these types of problems reside in you guys and you guys alone.
Can I still count on you for the collaboration?

It's sad to see you go lynn.
Only thing I can say that's it was not me nor probably anyone who logged in with my account. I allways log out on public places, so it's unlikely that someone has been on my account: so don't worry. I'm really busy at the moment that's way I don't react right away all the time ;)

Hi Lynn. I'm sorry, there's no reason not to post on this forum! I'm sure it was an accident.
