Hi all
For a change I figured I would actually keep a promise to myself, and redo my Chain Reaction submission closer to my original intention. All of the modelling and UV mapping remains Anim8or work, but all keyframing, lighting and texturing was redone in Carrara, though I have tried to keep as close as possible to the original animation, in terms of 'storyboard'. The final renders are also from Carrara. Where appropriate a physics simulator was used to define some of the motion, but the bulk of it remains keyframed. The sound effects are a mixture of downloaded copyright-free and personally recorded.

Looks much better Tony , can see you`ve used Carrara particles for the fuse and a nice glow!
Have you seen Headwax`s interview with C3DE in issue 5

Very good read Plus, at last he has given animanon credit for passing on the heads up to Carrara!!
with some references to anim8or for modelling.
Thanx Andrew if you read this post!

No problem Kevin, thnks for putting me onto it!
Of course credit is due to yourself.
I would have said more but they needed to cut a few pages (I ramble on badly )
Great stuff Tony, you are one of the best you know.

Cheers gents. Excellent magazine article Headwax, fascinating to learn how you incorporate CGI into more traditional artistic methods, and that for some tasks you use your mouse in the wrong hand, the lack of control introducing a certain degree of 'chaos' (from whence may still come the 'happy accident' I expect). This blows my mind, I have a hard enough time controlling the mouse in the proper hand!

Great stuff as always Ensoniq5. You always do a good job, and on a complicated project too! I love the stencil idea in the end, truly original.
Headwax, congrats mate! That's amazing. It seems I've missed a good deal of artwork you've been doing, but I'm checking out your blog now. It's been amazing to see you grow in the way you have!

ENSONIQ5, this final render is amazing. I paused the animation several times to have a closer look at the work involved in the detailed modeling, superb !
headwax, congrats but do you know of another link where I could read the article ? My connection is slow and the format used at the site mentioned above would keep me waiting for weeks before i can see something ;D

I can`t see any other link that you could use Lynn. issuu.com is an online viewer, the periodical C3DE is a 32meg pdf. It would take the same amount of time to view even if I placed it on animanon for viewing.
animanon direct download at http://www.animanon.com/Forum3/MGalleryItem.php?id=159

Hey, ENSONIQ, that looks much better! I like it. Of course the original wasn't bad, either. ;)
Haven't read the article, but it must be pretty good, hm? :)
