As most of you know, i've been making an animated horse skeleton. I've finished making my walk cycle, but the back legs aren't cooperating. The bones for the pelvis are at a slant, causing the back legs to curve inward, and in my last frames the back legs cross over each other. How do I fix this "joint problem"?

Have you set limitations for the movement of each bone ?
Click on a bone in Figure mode and define X, Y and Z direction in degrees (360 degrees = full circle)
like Min -90 Default 0 Max 90 will give you a quarter circle forward and backward or sideways ;)

yep, I have the limitations set, but the way the pelvis is slanted makes them go the wrong angle. but I could try adding an extra limitation along the Z axis or something that will allow me to curve the bones outward in the direction they're supposed to go. it'll be an extra step, but it'll fix it for now.

ok, now for some reason, even with the new defining, it's not letting me move it in the new directions, like it's locked, but it's not

Use the middle mouse button, that changes the Z direction: http://www.anim8or.com/manual/6_sequence_editor.html#making_a_key_pose

oooh ok. I read the page, I was a bit confused at first because my laptop has no 3rd button
Wow.. I forgot to put "rotate bone" too, I feel stupid now.. ::)
Yay! he walks normally now!
