Title: How is an an8-file working?

ok, i made a mesh.
in the file are points(i understood) the object(i understood) but faces? I CANT UNDERSTAND THE FACES!

Faces is the sides or the flat surfaces on the object. You also need to know about edges which is the line with 2 points on the ends. Like make 4 points, connect each point with a edge, and fill it in to make a single face.
