Title: How do I move a figure on Anim8or?
Post by: theresa01 on May 30, 2010, 05:42:49 pm
I'm sort of new to anim8or. I know how to rotate the limbs of a figure already. But what I'm trying to do is get the figure to step out, then rotate it's limbs then step back in again. Here is a video of what I'm trying to get the figure to do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X39X3N_qh…  What I'm trying to get the figure to do is from 0:00-0:30. I know how to do the movements in place. I just don't know how to get the figure to step out.
If anyone could help me I would be very glad! thanks!

you need to be in scene mode in order to perform this action. then you can move the entire bone collection as an object while also animating the bones separately. they are two different parts of animating.

not sure if i explained that too well.

You could attach two bones to the back of a figure and bend them (kind of like a knee joint) to move it back and forth.
