Title: Simplify
Post by: dalekaddison on April 28, 2010, 07:32:05 am
Hello! I'm new to the forums but i am already pretty good at Anim8or.
Well i say that but what i mean is i am good at using other peoples models.

And, by my username, you can tell i love making Dalek movies  ;D

Anywho, i would love the use of a simplify button. A big old button that cuts down the number of points in a mesh. I have some models with tonnes in, but simplifying it would be incredibly useful.

Terranim8or (http://www.biederman.net/leslie/terranim8or/terranim8or.htm) is a utility for Anim8or which has a polygon reducer in one of the versions.  I would look into that, it will do exactly what you want.

Blender also will reduce the points. It keeps the quality pretty good, too. All polygon reducers are a bit unpredictable, though..

Which version of terranim8or does that? Because I've just been using the point merging tool in Anim8or for the longest
