Title: Turning modifier upside down
Post by: Music123 on March 30, 2010, 12:41:31 am
I've been stuck on this particular part for ages on the eggplant tutorial and I have been eager to know how to flip modifier around (so when entering bend angles like the default one at -60, the stem and plant won't go completely out of shape as it goes when I put it on).

The modifier has to be large enough (in width) that if you were to extend the modifier it would encompass everything you want to be affected by the modifier.  Basically anything out of that straight shot will be completely unaffected.
Hope that helps.

Also, modifiers can be rotated in the same way as objects, either by using the rotate tool or Edit>Rotate.  To flip a modifier upside down you could rotate it 180 degrees in either the X or Z axis, prior to binding it to an object.  If this or hiho's post don't seem to apply to your problem, the best thing to do would be to post a couple of screenshots, showing the modifier before binding and the modified object after the modifier has been applied.
