Title: Square of an integer? (AA samples)
Post by: Kyle on February 27, 2010, 09:57:25 pm
Hey guys, I'm horrible at math, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out by listing off a a bunch of number values you can use in the AA settings. The only ones I can remember outside of the examples already listed are 25 and 64. It would really help me out, as I often change this, but usually have to to try a bunch of numbers until something takes.  So a list of values that work would be nice to have.

1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64,  81, 100, 121, 144,  169, 196, 225, 256, 289, 324, 192, 361, 400, 441, 484, 529, 576, 625, 676, 729, 784, 841, 900

at 900 aa samples an AO-only render looks smooth, so more you won't need in any occasion.

For most beauty-renders i use about 144 samples.

The number should be a sqaure...so A x A ...you can simply do it on a calculator: i.e. 12 x 12 = 144
Is also use 144 most of the time...best average between quality and the time the render will take.
