Title: In memory of
Post by: lynn22 on February 23, 2010, 07:56:35 pm
In memory of a dear friend who passed away recently.

I just had to do something.

Monument modeled in Anim8or, scenery and render in Vue.

Well that's a beautiful gift to them.  Well done, touching composition.  I hope your friend is in a better place!

Thank you guys, much appreciated.

I wanted to "engrave" the dates on the front of the console but it seems that the text "A" button won't accept numbers. I'll make the numbers in an image and spline them, it hope it will work.

Beautiful work Lynn, it's very poetic and a fine tribute.

For the Text button it works okay for me. Though I I always forget that you need to click in the workspace before you start to type your text.

Maybe you could get away with a bumpmap?
Maybe a bumpmap transmap combo even?

Thank you headwax and for the suggestions.

I could type letters, no problem, but the numbers just wouldn't show so I just modeled them. I also tweaked the light and the setting.

The mystery of the numbers solved !

After years of writing spreadsheets I always use the numbers keypad at the right of the keyboard.

Anim8or does not recoginize this input but works flawlessly when typing numbers using the keys located above the letters on the keyboard.
Problem solved for next time :)
