Title: Portfolio Website
Post by: hihosilver on February 06, 2010, 06:23:37 pm
www.adammaier.com (http://www.adammaier.com)

This is my new personal website.  It's currently being used for colleges and scholarships, as well as a senior project (I'm hoping to get an internship with Laika or Bent Image Studio!  Let me know what you think, and what I could improve.
Thanks,
Hihosilver

WOWeee! Thats one hell of a flash website. Did you make it yourself or use a template?

Thanks Chamber, but sadly I can't take any credit for that!  I'm using Wix (www.wix.com) which has a built in drag-and-drop flash website editor which is fantastic.
I would loved to have taught myself actionscript to create my own site (which I'll most likely do at some point), but I was on a very tight deadline to get this out for colleges scholarships and possible senior projects, so I settled with simple high quality instead of complicated more fulfilling high quality.

Nice website adam! A bit slow on loading pictures sometimes, maybe some lower res pictures might solve it.

Good job Hihosilver!

Honestly, I do not like Flash-based sites, but your one looks really good, almost professional! ;)

Thanks guys!  You're probably right Floyd, I didn't think about the resolution of the photos when uploading them :/
I also probably didn't take into consideration other people's internet connections, some people I know have been having some trouble loading things quickly.
TheRetroZombie, thanks, I'm using Wix (www.wix.com) which is really easy to use, but costs money if you want your own domain and if you want no advertisements (which is what I did.)
Kubajzz, thanks mate, I appreciate it!
