Title: How to use textures

I tryed to do almost everything and i still dont understand why i get only one color for that object instead of texture i added? can someone tellme what im dooing wrong?

I know that this works on sphere i cant understand why its not working on this object.

I don't know why that happens, but to fix it all you have to do is hit the uv button in object mode. It will ask you to enable texture genorator and click ok. After the yellow uv box pops up double click on the box. and his ok in the menu box. Your texture should show up.

Ok I know what the problem is. the uv's in your mesh is screwed up and your texture is distorted. Just do as I just mentioned and it should be good.
