Title: A question who need fast response

Hi! I started to render an 1 minute animation and I think will take some hours... the problem is in rendering screen I can't see the background image... is this ok ? or I must quit the rendering...:( It only shows a grey color backgroung...! ???

If your background is not showing on the render, it not good. Stop the render because the final render will be wrong.
You probably have done something wrong in the environment settings. Have you selected the right background? Is the image link ok? Have you enabled fog?

Yes I enabled fog... this means the background will not show?

Alot of fog could make the background disappear, like you can't say alot in a real fog.
Try tweaking the fog settings (max%) and you background will probably appear again.

Yes ... the fog was the problem thanks  a lot!!! Now what type of compression should I use to obtain good quality and performance?

depends on what codec packs you have installed on your machine. Some people would suggest rendering as jpg and stitching them together in virtualdub, I use Xvid because it's one of the few that dont cause a corruption when making a 16:9 video. You just have to test them out to see which works for you.
