Title: Feature suggestion: Bone editor -> free all
Post by: an8freaky on January 01, 2010, 07:12:31 am
Hey,

I'm a user of anim8or and I really like the program.

I've got a suggestion for future releases:
in the bone editor, could you add something like 'free all', 'no limits all', and 'free & no limits all' buttons?
Here's a picture of what I mean:

I usually am not very precise in limiting bones, and I always select free and no limits for all, but it's a pain in the ass when having to click six buttons.

Well, the "Free" button never really made sense to me, as you could accomplish the same thing by leaving the axis at a default 0,0,0.  Anim8or would be better off without it.

For my money, the "no limits" option gets messy, which isn't uncommon in animation software.  It allows for two different possible paths for any bone rotation.  I'd personally prefer a global setting whereby one could set the default settings for all axis of all bones to something like -179, 0, 179.

yeah, being able to set global overrides for bone limits would be great!
