I was wondering if there was a better way to render your final scenes in anim8tor. ???

What do you mean? Faster or better in terms of quality?

If you want better quality try rendering with ART (version 0.97d) with ambient occlusion enabled and a high AA.

If you want faster rendering, get a new CPU or wait for a newer version of Anim8or with multithreading. :)

Blasphemy!!! ART is the new in-built anim8or raytracer, you can download the latest "unstable" version of it in the "v0.97 preview" submenu of the main anim8or site.

The "unstable" version is in my opinion the most stable version I've used so far, so don't be fooled by that.  Quality has to do with how you use the renderer.  It's all in your lighting techniques, scene setup and post-production work in a program like photoshop.  Most artists still do post-production even when rendering in most professional programs.

If you need an example to prove this take a look at this: http://www.anim8or.com/smf/index.php?topic=2581.0 (http://www.anim8or.com/smf/index.php?topic=2581.0)
Or take a look at any of $imon's work for that matter, he has loads of amazing renders done in Anim8or.  It's all in the skill of the artist.  The program can slow things down, but ultimately the artist has control.

You can have all the raytrace you want but without proper lighting your 3D can become 2D.

Lighting - Lighting and more lighting - Using multiple lights and have some with shadows and some without shadows. Some lights bright and some not so bright.

This is a helpful tutorial to teach you a bit about lighting:
