I am working through the tutorial of making a simple walking animated figure. I started with tutorial 1 which was making all the body parts. I saved them by individual name such as eye, body, beak, etc. on a floppy disc in my A drive. Tutorial 2 was making the skeleton. Did that and saved it also on floppy. My question is, how do I bring these parts together in order to build the figure? Do you import the file or what? And do you build it in the scene mode? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Spudsstuff

So, I take it what you're doing is saving all the objects as separate files and the skeleton as a separate file as well. Really, what you want to do is do this all in the same file. You can make all the different objects in the same file by going "object>new..." As for the skeleton, the tutorial should tell you how to attach the objects too the skeleton. You'll want to do this in figure mode with the skeleton. Basically you'll attach the separate objects too separate bones.
Another thing that should help you a lot is to read the entire manual (It's really not very long, but it's REALLY helpful). You can find it here: www.anim8or.com (http://www.anim8or.com)

Yes, you can import objects from different .an8 files into other .an8 projects. Use the Object->Import ommand and select the ".an8" format. You can also import figures, sequences and scenes in the same way.

I have feeling that while in object mode in one file you can copy that object (in object editing mode) then paste it into the object window of another anim8or file.
Could be wrong here :)

You are correct, sir. I've done it several times (I'm not braggin', just statin' a fact).

make sure you save the materials though, or you'll have to re-texture your object from scratch
