Title: Bones wont rotate
Post by: Belle on September 23, 2009, 02:49:20 pm
Hello everyone,

Since very recently, Iīve been using Anim8tor. Iīve managed to make a short video of an object swinging left and right. But when I tried to make another animation today, I couldnīt get the bones to rotate in the sequence mode. I can still rotate them in the figure mode, but after that itīs just dead.

-I have tried with the key on and off
-I made sure I had the rotate bone option selected
-The bones were set to free, and I gave them various degrees of movement, as well as no limit
-I have tried left, right, and middle click
-I made sure to select the specific bone I wanted to move
-I've gone through several threads but found no answers

I've been trying all day, no succes, my hair is almost grey :)

Would appreciate any help.

Belle

This sounds strange....

Just one thing I couldn't see on your list: did you click on the "head" ((http://www.anim8or.com/manual/images/bone_tip.gif)) of the bone when trying to rotate it?

This is kinda tricky. what you have to do is unlock the bones. so double click on a bone and a window pops up. then click all the required buttons (its not hard to figure out). then your good to go. you have to unlock every bone you want to move. hope this helped.

BTW sometimes bones just wont move. usually if its on the preset front or side view. what you have to do is rotate the screen (CTR+r) just a tiny bit and then you can move the bone.

This did the trick. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the effort guys.
