I have been kinda asked, kinda volunteered, to make a project for a web comic called S.S.D.D, but I'm a bit... crestfallen? I was asked to make the "TGM". It's a black whole drive of a ship. The ref art are the following: WARNING: some foul language

I created this video and sent the artist a copy. He says it seems "Pretty cool for a rough." I thought I was done. Does anyone have any idea what more I could do?

at 1st i was going to say make some textures. then i looked at ur 1st link and it looks just like the drawing. the only thing that i can see is that you could animate the transition to how it turns into a red orb thing. the drawings dont really tell much of a story. probably cause i dont know what the hell is going on. so i think you should fill in the blanks.

I think you could enahnce it by having some kind of mechanism working around it, such as a set of gears starting to spin or something similar, if you know what I mean?
Another idea would be to change the sound effects a little, and maybe add one of those loud blaring warning signals just before activation(?)

the ungrateful munki....how about more dramatic lighting and more electricity lightning.

I appreciate the input folks. I guess I'll keep messing with it and see if I can get some better results.
