Title: Walk Cycle - Storyteller
Post by: hihosilver on September 06, 2009, 03:19:31 pm
I got my computer and external HD back from my school's tech team on Thursday, so I have my files back now.  Here's where I was at after the first few days of the walk cycle challenge.  I finished the legs, and plan to now work on the torso, then the arms, then any other secondary motion (such as the hump and head).  Let me know what you think!

Very nice model and sequence!

You'll need a very good texture to keep it that way, but I think we can be sure that will happen  ;D

(I should really start making a character and animate it after I've seen this ;))

Thanks Jehovahenker.  I mentioned it on youtube, but I forgot to mention here, the model is not mine.  It was modeled and rigged by Bob_I_Ts.  My work is only the animation.  I'm sure texturing wouldn't be too much of an issue though.  I would like some more experience in that area!

Nice smooth walk cycle you got there Hiho.

I find Blacksmith is great for texturing organic models is saves all the fuss of uwrapping and mapping and all that, as it does all that for you.
But the best bit is....its free  :o

What is blacksmith and where do I get it? I hate unwrapping models - so tedious and I always screw up somewhere :S
