well, obviously, I'm new here, but I was wondering if there was a working script for "desubdividing" faces in anim8or.
I've seen two called "poly reducer" and "untriangulate" but they both have the same errors strangely. (the triangulate script on this site works fine.) So, I was wondering, if there was a working script out there, or something at least. my object has WAY too many faces (440320) and takes up 73,900,000 bytes

There is a script called unsubdivision that does this, try searching for it in this section.

okay, I got that too, but they all have the same two errors.
line (insert number here): sign ";" expected
(same number as before): undefined identifier "attribute"
I figure these are simple errors, but it's weird, because all THREE of them have the same errors.
I'm using the latest version (0.95c), so maybe it's something wrong with that?

0.95c is hardly the latest version. Make sure you have this: http://anim8or.com/download/preview/index.html

okay, that's helped a little, but for some reason my two models specifically won't unsubdivide.
I could put it up here, I suppose.

Iguess you could expor it to a different format (e.g .3ds, .obj) into another program that can unsubdivide your model and then import it to anim8or again.

any suggestions?
edit: merging points seems to have created some success.
