Title: I'm New to Anim8or

I'm new on Anim8or and am still learning, has anyone got any ideas which are easy things to start on? Also how would you go about getting a headband on a head?

When you start out it's helpful to read the manual and do some of the tutorials. You can find those with the links on the left (<--).

A headband is a cylinder with a hole cut out of the middle, the splines added around the inside hole, and then the hole filled again, but with the splines added you end up with a head band.

headband try  = build = primitive = nongon 33 = ok

then draw a rough rectangle = extrude = path = ok then click on circle and bang done

another way to make a headband (if you already have a head) is to
copy your model
hide your original model
paste your model
delete all the edgepoints except where you are going to put your headband (on your copied model)
make your headband (it could be as simple as extruding the faces)
once your headband is done unhide your model
then join solids
then merge the points
done (perfect fit)

ive dont that "method" a few times when making accessories and hair and stuff. it works pretty well.

Yeah, and you could also use the cut tool on the head if you don't have faces in the right places.

an easy way to do a good headband is to make the head have 2 little "thingies" off of the back like the ends of the knot and then just have the texture on the head look like whatever headband you might want to use.
