Title: function i dont know about?

im always learning new stuff but i was wondering if there was a functio (button) to delete edgepoints and leave the lines connected.

heres a makeshift diagram so you know what im talking about. you delete the middel points and the lines stay intact. If there is no such thing it would be awesome to have. its a pain to connect a bunch of edges liek that manually.

You can merge points, or use an asl script remove useless points.

Be careful with the ASL script though because occasionally it can corrupt your fule so save regularly if you use it.

He has a script called "remove useless points" and you can select points that are useless (you can read up on it on the page, he gives good examples)
