Title: Chatting?
Post by: Dylan6597 on July 08, 2009, 06:03:56 pm
hey this doesnt have anything to do with anim8or but i read the rules earlier and you cant even chat. there isnt even a category just for chatting? how do we get to know our fellow animators? i see that there is a chat room but it seems like no one gets on there.

well if you go to the anim8or site there is a forum tab that leads here the (NEW) one.. and there is another tab that gives you a room code for the chat room on this other site..

In the rules you can read that's we don't want to make this forum a chatroom. By keeping the post relevant to the topics.
There is anim8or chat room (link on the left <---), but i'm not sure it's really active.

Still to get to know you fellow animators you can use the PM-service and talk/meet eachother on other community's like MSN or skype.

Problem with "chat" is that you spend more time "chatting" than doing modelling and A nimating....thats a big reason why I don`t do MSN anymore and I only use Skype  for  normal conversations with "family"

Well I think that no chatting is a poor rule.

Tell ya what, Pincho, when it's you who's paying for the website, YOU can have unlimited chatting.  Steve Glanville is shelling out for this site, so he can set whatever rules he pleases.

there is IRC chat on CG Nation, though not a lot of people use it yet (it'll get big)
