hi again
please forgive me all you experienced anim8ors for posting such a simple pic but i kinda like the idea of showing what ive done however simple then get feed, positive or negative so i may learn more. A couple of questions:
How can i make better colours?
and also why could i not select individual faces in point edit mode after converting to subdivide?
i was only able to select the whole image then apply one simple color. OK i'll try not to ask too much too soon so just 2 questions thanks
:D

By individual faces, do you mean the faces created by the subdivision? If so, you must convert the subdivision to a mesh in order to edit individual faces. Otherwise, you CAN edit the faces of the original mesh.
A subdivision object is not a new mesh, it is a mesh that is "smoothed", if you will, according to a level that you set, while still retaining its original mesh. The original mesh can still be edited, and doing so will alter the subdivision.
The manual can be found here: http://anim8or.com/manual/index.html. It might be able to shed some light on what you're trying to do.
Otherwise, it's pretty good work for a n00b at 3D modeling. I didn't even start with that. It was bullets and breathing green balls for me.

i did the eggplant too. never got around to the bird, though. just took a pre-made figure from a material database. and started rigging it...then the file got CORRUPTED and i lost all my work.
we were all n00bz at one point, so don't feel insulted. i probably should have put newbie instead of n00b.
