I've seen the .x exporter realized as script. Is there a .x importer somewhere?
Or is this a silly question because the semantic mismatch between the .x format and anim8or internal format is too large?

Peter

Writing an import script is impossible at the moment.
It's not supported by ASL.

where is the .x exporter script? i've got a friend that's hounding me to help him out on a game he's working on, but he's writing it in either C++ or C# (can't remember) and only using .x files because of their "small size".

It's in Forum -> ASL Scripts -> ASL Scripts Database

Hi Claude, All,
Yep, I already assumed that it can't be done by an ASL script. I was looking for a solution of any kind (minus buying are pirating expensive commercial stuff).
And if nothing is available, but you can confirm that the semantics of the .x and anim8or are similiar enough, I will even try to converter myself if someone can point me to the documentation of the file formats.
Regards,
Peter
