Title: old army bunker
Post by: Destroyer on November 23, 2008, 06:22:51 pm
Finnaly after weeks of expirementing and messing around I finnaly finnished my army bunker. this is the first project i actualy finnished and i'm satisfied with the results, altho I feel that the walls could use some more detail. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Looking good, very nice modelling/texturing. I still have some suggestions.
At first those pipes on the right seem to be to low. There half way in the wall, half way in those grids. you should raise them so they are actually in the wall.
At second i agree on the walls: they look really good, but a few details should make it better. Maybe place a warning sign or some directions on the wall. Or a giant fan.
And my last suggestion: the stairs. I think an other texture then the floor will do better. Maybe threadplate (http://cgtextures.com/textures.php?t=browse&q=226).

I can just see a Zombie Nazi wandering past the bottom of the stairs.

And just so there's no confusion, the stuff in bold is a reference to COD World at war, I wanna get that game.

floyd86 i agree the pipes on the right are too low i'll fix that when i get the chance and i'll change the stair texture cause it is pretty repetetive seeing as how i used it for the floor and all

very nice textures. i really like the whole thing. but yeah the pipes may be too low unless you show vivible cutting on the mettal fence thing along the wall. but i reall love the textures on the wall.

I cant help but admire this. Truly a work of art.
If you want to add to the wall detail, id go with floyd86's idea and add decals. Personally I think its fine though.

Thats a great scene Destroyer,
IMHO I would use a trans map to make a mesh floor and steps to give a little more depth.
Also I would adjust the light source as the shadows from the hand rails look to be coming from an invisible light from the middle of the stair well.
Apart from them small things thats a really nice scene well done
