I know it isn't an ice cube but it is close
It's all in there but not shadows - couldn't get the shadow intensity to back off not matter if I set it to 10 or 100, it stayed the same; not sure what I'm doing wrong so I didn't use shadows. I also noticed that with shadows turned off(no ray trace) the light goes through the table and shines on the floor. You can see it in the reflection.

AA set to 16(not good enough) - will be re doing it at 64
Took 6 hours and the next render may take 14 to 18 hours we will see!

Very nice work =D
Amazing!
Loved the color of the object( I don't know how it's called, lamp(?) ) near the icecube!
-
Abstract, but not bad :) I like the color of the cube best from that angle!
-
AA set to 64 to get rid of the grainy look. Took 21.5 hours to render.
-
wow, very nice.

I had the same idea of rendering an icecube. But after a day rendering it wasn't even halfway, so i stopped the render. Maybe i should try it again now i see your image ^^.
-
Awesome,I suggest srinking the texture on the table, its sorta blurry. And about the light shining through the table, turn on shadows, that would make this image anyway!.And finally, the floor is drab.Make it tile. :)
-
After 21.5 hours of rendering - Yea I forgot about the floor and I had to turn shadows off or the cube didn't come out right.
This is the final render - Unless I get a wild hair. The texture on the table would look better if I didn't put so much reflection on it. Without the reflection you could see it is fine, but there is just so much going on the two images blur the overall effect. I actually like the look.
And thanks everyone for the comp - All of you help make me better at what I do.
