Title: Ocean Goblin
Post by: onespirit5777 on September 28, 2008, 03:49:39 pm
I have a lot of detail to add and make some changes. This is my second attempt at making a sculpted head. Thanks to some input from those with more practice, this one is a lot better.

Thanks everyone for helping me to become better at what I'm doing.

hihosilver posted some websites for me to learn from - Thanks dude!

Not finished yet. I will try to finish this week.

I used the UV settings in version .95 - Can't live without it!

Thanks to the new Ambient Occluder, this looks like a photograph of something. I guess if I didn't put the front profile off the plane, this would be very real looking.

I used three lights - One with shadows(soft) and the other two to highlight.

Ambient Occluder - Int=1
Lighting Parameters - Scene/Global Intensity = .8/Ambient Intensity = 1

Before you ask, here is the wire frame. It's not perfect, but a lot better than my first one.

I'm finished - Can't seem to get the depth of the bumpmap I wanted during the render so I just used print screen.

Still needs work on the eyes, but I'm done working on this project. I will get better with the eyes before I make another one.

Nice job onespirit.  You're definitely improving.
It looks like you've payed decent attention to the edge looping in the model which really shows!  There are some odd areas, but still it's a nice improvement.  Keep it up!

Nice work, I love the texture, the way the colors "flow" into each other, very nice.

How did you do the pattern on the texture?

I used the UV mapping in the older version .95 for one. And the other part is from a fractal I created with the bumpmap set to 100
