Title: Need some animation help
Post by: MegaMuse on September 11, 2008, 01:51:23 pm
Hello everyone,

I'm very new to anim8or and 3D animation in general. I have been working with flash for around 5 years though so I do know a thing or two about animating. Since I'm still starting out, I made a box, converted it to a mesh and made a figure with the object, and added a bone. I imported the figure in the sequence mode and already added a keyframe after the first second of animation time (in my case frame 31). But for some reason, eventhough I didn't lock any axis, I cannot move the bone when I select it and then try to use the rotate bone feature. Why is this? I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my error must be somewhere. Did I forget something?

Cheers,
Chris! ;)

You didn't locked the bone, but you didn't set any bone limits either. Double click on the bone and set the axis and the min/max value of the axis or select no limits.

Most questions you will have can be found reading the anim8or manual (<----- link is over there). Read through the manual, while doing this, try the tools in anim8or and play with them. After an hour you will understand the basics and you could try some simple tutorials. So please try find your answer in the manual. If you still don't find the answer to your questions, we will ready to help to as far as we can.
