Title: Render bug in object mode
Post by: onespirit5777 on September 06, 2008, 11:39:22 am
I was playing around with optics using dielectric - I render this in object mode for a quick look and this is what I saw.

I've posted two pics - one to show the objects before the render and one after the render.

I rendered the file at 400x300 with the same settings you had, but no problems. What AA-setup did you use? This might have anything to do with it.

It will render fine in the scene mode, but not in object mode. Did you render in the object mode?

No, in scene mode. I will try it again in object mode....*waits*....Nope still no problems.

I didn't see any problems either. Interesting project though :)

I'll look into this.  I think ART can get the index of refraction wrong in some cases but I haven't been able to prove it.  I also found that this project crashes when loading into the just released v0.97c preview!!!!  It's causes by the 1-frame long scene.  I'll post a fix tomorrow.

Yes, I was going to post that bug in 97c when it comes to 1 frame scene.
