Title: Making a Model an Object
Post by: Bmer on August 22, 2008, 08:45:43 am
??? I've got my model built, but I can't open that model in the Figure Mode to start putting bones in place. What am I doing wrong?

You first have to make your bones (at least 1 bone) and then add the object (select a bone and click "Build>Add Object"). Then you can do the rest of the bones...

I've tried that. The problem is that my model does not come up as an option under Build>Add Object. How do I get my model into that menu?

sounds like you might have gone File > New before going to figure mode, so your figure is in one file, and your object is in another.  the two have to be in the same file for it to work.  if that's what you've done, then you can fix it either by returning to the file with the object in it, and rebuilding or importing the figure, or by staying in the file with the figure, and importing the object, by going to object mode and using Object > Import.

or it could be a different problem altogether, of course...
