Title: How can sharp edges be rounded off
Post by: Bobert on August 07, 2008, 12:57:45 pm
Hi.  Im working on modeling something thats made out of metal but I dont know how to round out the edges (they're too sharp). I dont want the edges to be too rounded because it will take away the illusion that the object is made of metal. I know 3ds Max has a chamfer tool to round out sharp edges- Does anyone know any way to do this in anim8or.  ???

Double click mesh then in 'smooth angle' box put a higher angle than default (45)

Anim8or has the 'bevel' tool which is somewhat the equivalent of the chamfer tool for 3ds max.
Top of the page here (http://anim8or.com/manual/4_object_editor.html#bevel)
If you haven't already, I'd advise reading the whole manual.
