don't know if they have any skin textures, but cgtextures.com are quite good if you want brick, stone, wood etc, and various other things like skies.  :)

a human skin texture can just be a skin colour with difference clouds as an overlay layer (if made in a graphics program like the gimp or photoshop)

photo's can be helpful as well - and they can also be made seamless with a graphics program.

Though I would really advise you do something more than that.  It's nice if you can add some shading yourself.  For example, a human will have redder cheeks often, and under the eyes can be either blue-ish or purple-ish if you want something older and sadder.  You need to add in more colors than just a base tan color.  Skin is made up of many tints of reds yellows and blues.  You should do some shading on your own.  It's also good to lightly overlay some kind of texture since skin has a particular texture if you look up close.
You  may also want to add small irregularities like birthmarks or freckles which are easy to add and add to the realism as well.  Don't forget about bump maps or specular maps either!
Good luck.
