Post by: im not a people person73 on January 09, 2008, 09:19:25 pm
hi peoplezez i'm new and i'm starting my first animation but i'm all confused and my animations are jittery.I understand that it says your cp will fill in some of your animation lags and i would love to get rid of that effect. (i'm used to the 2d frame by frame animations)

Have you tried any of the tutorials?  Oh, and reading the manual, of course, is helpful.

But, for a short answer, unlike 2D frame-by-frame, to get smooth motion, you can simply define the position and/or rotation of the element you're moving at te beginning and end frames.  In other words, say you want to move 10 divisions over 10 frames.  All you need to do is specify the position at frame 1, and the position at frame 10.  Anim8or will "fill in the gap" by effectively inserting a spline curve between the two points, so that the element moves in small steps between frames 1 and 10.

Once you understand some of the basics, you'll be able to put together some very interesting animations, limited only by your imagination.

Good luck...
