I was looking at the galleries and the fact that the "Surprise" model was made by a person with just 8 months of experience impressed me bigtime. I'm a complete newbie and would like to learn fast as the author of that model.  So I would like that somebody or the author himself point me to good tutorials about both modeling and skining. I also would like to know about tools that would make the skining process easier. Thanks in advance.

Read the manual, the tutorials and search the forum for your questions.
Then use Google for good Anim8or tutorials, if you want to be as good as him, you have to be as passionate as him about CG.
