thank you B3dman. i think thats exactly what i need. one thing though every time i open anim8or i get a black screen that says; compiling ".\rocks.a8s" 104lines 0 errors. and if i close it anim8or shuts down, i could probable live with it, but can i get rid of it?
id be curious what you oth tricks might be just out of curiosity.

well the "black screen" is nothing to worry about its called a debug screen, it basically makes sure that the scripts you have are written properly so that you wont have a problem with them while you are in anim8or so dont worry about that. and as to other tricks this one will probably work better on second thought.

use the "add primitive mesh" tool(shift+M) and then convert it to a subdivided. then go to point edit mode and move around the points it looks very realistic if you do it right here is a render of rocks i made with this technique(it also works with other shapes like spheres and cubes so experiment ;) )
