You can drag a marquee around them in Scene mode.

if you right click on an object you will select it without de-selecting another object. also a quicker way is to use the drag-select tool(hotkey="d") to drag out a square and everything in the square will be selected ;) hope it helps good luck!

right click will add to the current selection, middle clicker will subtract from the current selection. You can use both the select and drag-selection tools with these mouse-clicks.

To select two objects at once u must have select on (the arrow) and bellow that the dotted box must be selected. Then just drag over the two objects. if there is one in the way then just click on the unwanted object and edit->hide and when you want it bck go to edit->unhide.
