ASE exporting
« on: June 26, 2008, 01:53:07 pm »

Is it possible to make an ASL for saving as an ASE. This is a format for unreal editors/others. I think modeling in anim8or is the best in interface, so I think ASE exportation is possibly good. Alot of unreal editor people need to buy 3d programs because they don't want to use blender.

Ani2Pov can convert .an8 files to .ase. But maybe there are some bugs (bugs reports are welcome).

A direct export from Anim8or would also be a good thing.

I have gotten away from my own need for ase files a bit but I know there are plenty of people that would find it useful.

I know ASE files are completely text based (I have done some manual editing of them). I don't think ASL supports binary data but I believe it is fully capable of exporting a text file.

Texel if I get a chance I will have to give your program a try.
