Hi Flef.

i am turning 16 in october.. The second part of your question, i don't really understand.. but i think you are asking if i have had any lessons to learn 3d?

if that is the case then my answer is no... I am completly self-learned.

Yeah, I'm 21 and never had any lessons on how to do 3D modelling.

I did a computer graphics subject at uni, but that was more about the programming side of things (OpenGL and C), rather than actual modelling. Honestly i only started 3D modelling because I wanted to create worlds running on my own 'engine' (game engine, renderer, whatever, just want to supplement my programming), then realised I had a lot of learning before my modelling was at that level.

Practically same as everyone else, came to the world of CG at 12, turning 15 in August, completely self taught (reading tutorials, experimentation, a few tips and tricks from forums etc) ;D
...it's incredible how the media portrays (all) teens and how most of really are (e.g. no drugs, alcohol, sex etc), it's just a few morons that ruin it for everyone else :-[
Oh, and did I mention I'm technically a professional ;D ;D ;D

(Basically what I'm trying to say is that age doesn't matter) ;) ;)

I'm glad to hear that age doesn't matter, 'cos I'm 38.  Anim8or users range from around 12 to around 60, which is really amazingly cool in my opinion.

I'm learning to use Maya, which is really good 3D software (supposedly)
But there are other software packages, try using Google

i've never used any 3d program except anim8or, unlike some of these tr8ors (yes, i'm looking at you, tanzim and b3dman!)  ;D

on the other hand, i do stopmotion as well as cg, so i guess i'm as much a tr8or as anyone else here :P

i agree anim8or is different because it combines powerful modeling with simple format and easy to use tools.

Only?
It shouldn't matter how 'only' you are, do you know mcheccyb, he is really good at CG, he's 'only' 13.
'Only' should only matter about how long you've been doing/studying something.
