metrocop skinned model
« on: June 13, 2008, 12:56:26 am »

okay, i decided to try and skin the metrocop model, but i realised the problem was with my old geforce 2 was i could only skin from side view, not left right front or even 3d, but i forgot about this and attempted to skin it anyways, and it works! so i had some fun posing the metrocop, and thought i could post them here. please forgive his manners in the last picture, he is scratching his @$$....

Who cares what he's doing, as long as he's doing something that doesn't classify as M (I'm quite sure PG's the best we can go at this forum)
Anyways, it seems only his arms moving, so it doesn't seem like you've really rigged him that much/well, why not move other parts of his body?
Finally, GeForce 2!!!, your kidding, mate get a new PC, you could get a 8400 GS (PCI-e) for about $40 (in Australia), which is possibly a 1000000 better than that GeForce 2!

tanzim, i forgot to mention that i got a new geforce 4, so that's the reason i can skin in other views now, in the other card i could only skin in side view, now i can skin in all views, spicy, i did not model it, i skinned the model, i'm guessing i either did not type it, or you did not read it, but i converted the model strait from half life 2, i did not model it. tanzim, i did not only skin his arms, in one of the poses i arched his back, and in the "hands up!" jpeg, i rotated his head to look at the camera, finally, the legs were not part of any of the poses, i have to reskin the legs as the bones for the left leg are actually grabbing vertices from the right leg too...

What do you mean by 'skinned'? I thought skinning was related to textures, but those models don't look textured :S

Dosser: skinning is like giving bones control over a certain part of a mesh
