Max for Anim8or...
« on: May 17, 2008, 08:34:01 pm »

Hi everyone, I'm 22 years old and a couple weeks new to anim8or. I've recently become very interested in animating and am currently in the process of attempting to model and rig a character like Studio 3D's "Max.'
I'm sure many would say that I'm biting off more than I can chew, but atleast let me try...
I'm trying to keep it lowish-poly because my computer is old and slow and I can't afford any better right now...
I need help tho, I've been trying to find out about morph targets so I can animate expressions and speech... All help will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance ... T.

Heres the tutorial on using morph target's in Anim8or:
http://anim8or.com/tutorials/from_users/morphs/MorphTut.htm
You'd basically want to make morphs of the mouth saying each vowel, then animate him talking by making saying each vowel when talking e.g. when saying "hello" only have him say "e" and then "o".

Thanks alot for the suggestion and support guys ... I'll try creating some morph targets as soon as I get a chance...

Ps.- Does anim8or have a feature to merge audio clips into the scene editor ?

If not, what program can I use ?

no, anim8or can't include audio files into animations, just use windows movie maker, i'm pretty sure it comes standard with all windows OS from xp up
