Eart. Directors Cut. (shortened)
« on: December 31, 2024, 12:17:48 am »

Have always thought the original 'Eart' was too drawn out.
Lost all my working files, but managed to do an ok job at shortening the video.

Happy New Year to you all.

Johnar!  That was epic!  It answered a LOT of my questions.  In particular, "What is Life?"

Happy New Year!

  Thanks Rudy.
I was never really that happy with the 1st Eart, but it really made a difference by shortening it.
Have had an idea for another 'creation' story.  Might go there. If i do i'll remember to keep it as short as pos, and to the point. As you know, these things can take time, and i think i've now learnt that 'even tho you're going to spend all that time making a short movie, that doesn't mean that the audience have all day to watch it'
If we're really proud of the, eg; 'object', that we've made, you can actually ruin it by giving it, perhaps, the extra screen time that we think it deserves.
In your case, Rudy, this doesn't really apply. You make awesome models, which are really cool to look at.
But short animations, that tell a story, can't really afford to drag it out, especially when the models etc are basic and quite amateur looking. Like mine.
Anyway, glad that the story of 'eart ' helped to answer that 'life' question for you.
Thanks for the comment. Hope you're doing ok. Cheers.
