Hello Again
« on: October 20, 2023, 11:25:59 am »

Hello, beautiful people. I used to frequent this corner of the web but events conspired against me. #1 my daughter and 2 grandchildren moved in with us (post police in Jal, NM tazing my son-in-law to death) and #2 I got sick. Like very sick. I dropped 100 lbs in 8 months. I could not be up and about more than a few minutes without getting sick to my stomach. Yeah, that sick. Anyhow I could not get to my PC so I couldn't do any 3DM with Anim8or. My proficiency - which was, to be honest, never that sierra hotel - plummeted. Oh and I was going blind with cataracts which really put a crimp in 3DM work. Well the Wife and I are rid of our star boarders (NM coughed up a $hefty settlement), they sorta figured out what was killing me and I have had cataract surgery in both eyes! (I can see better than I have in a good 20 years).

So now I want to get back to building things with my favorite 3D modelling program. BUT! While I can remember being able to do certain moderately high level things I cannot recall HOW to do them. And yes it is frustrating as frack! So do not be surprised if I pop in here asking really odd questions from time to time. It's either this or I try to learn something like Daz Hexagon. There are tutorials for thaty but I never could really mesh with Hexagon while I once had a pretty fair facility with Stephen's marvelous toy.

Old Codger,

I'm sorry to hear of your problems, but glad to know they've been mostly resolved.

I know from experience how easy it is to forget things you haven't done for a while!

I'm sure people will be glad to answer any questions you have.

Glad to hear things are more or less sorted.  I have no doubt you will once again hone your skills with Anim8or, much like riding the proverbial bike.

Glad to hear the positives happening. Unsure what JAL or NM are though.
Forgetting is such an annoyance. Anim8or is such a comfort.

Jal is a small city in New Mexico. Known for some bad cops and even worse local government.
