Control bevel amount?
« on: March 03, 2021, 01:29:33 pm »

Hello,

Was just wondering if there's a way to control the size of a bevel? When I use the function, it just sets it to a specific amount, and then I can't adjust it. Can't find an options dialogue for it, either.

Is this do-able?

Thanks!

In the Point Editor, first select the faces, edges or points that you want to bevel. Then using the Bevel tool (hot key "b") click-drag to make the bevel. The size of the bevel varies as you move the mouse.

Ah so it's specific to the point mode. Okay. I was doing it in Edge and Face mode. Hadn't considered point mode. Go figure lol.

Thanks!

Edit: Actually I think I know what was happening before. I was in Grid Snap mode, so it was automatically snapping to the "nearest" grid size, and I wasn't moving the mouse enough to make it "jump" to the next. With grid snap disabled, it works the way I expected.

Okay cool. Good to know.
